Built by the Parish Council, on the site of the old Community Centre on Whiteleas Avenue, with additional funding  and support from:-
  • European Regional Development Fund
  • Coalfields Regeneration Trust
  • WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental Group)
  • North East Derbyshire District Council

The Centre is staffed by a part-time Manager, Yvonne Colverson, and a full-time Assistant Manager/Bar Supervisor, Ken Trodden.  Cleaning and Bar Staff are also employed on a part time basis.

The Management Committee is made up of Parish Councillors and the Centre Manager and meet on the second Wednesday of each month, except August.

The Function Room

The Community Resource Centre is an ideal venue for Parties, Weddings,Conferences, Courses and meetings of all kinds.

All the rooms can be hired by the hour, prices are listed below. 
(Please note:- on Friday and Saturday nights 6 hours is the minimum hire pereod, a minimum hire may be required at other busy times)

The Meeting Room

The local Police Officer is due to move into an office
within the centre later this year.  Details will be
added to this site as they are confirmed.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES
  • Our large function room can seat up to 150 guests in theatre style or 90 at tables.  The room has  a digital projector that can be used for presentations.
  • Our meeting room can accommodate up to 25 people and is equipped with an interactive whiteboard. 
  • Our lounge is ideal for small, informal meetings of up to 10 people.
  • We can arrange hot and cold drinks from 50p per candidate and buffet lunches from £5 per candidate.

Both the Function Room and Meeting Room are equiped with Hearing Loops.

 
 

OTHER FACILITIES
  • Our function room has a fully licensed bar and is the ideal venue for weddings and parties of all kinds.
  • Adjoining the function room is a fully fitted industrial kitchen.
  • We have an Internet Cafe that has broadband internet connection.  Our cafe is run by a team of volunteers on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Friday afternoons, at all other times drinks and snacks are available from vending machines.
  • We have a courtyard area, a peaceful place to sit when the weather is nice.

The Courtyard

North East Derbyshire District Council has their Area Housing Office in the Centre. 
Opening times are
Monday to Friday
9am - 4pm
Closed for lunch
12.30pm - 1.30pm

North Wingfield Community Resource Centre has a NO SMOKING policy.  Smoking is only permitted in the courtyard.
